Welcome To Shine

Shine is Newham's Young People's Contraceptive & Sexual Health Service. Shine offers a friendly, free and fully confidential service for young people aged 24 and under, including under 16s. Shine Clinics are drop-in.

If you are 25 years and older or if you have STI symptoms, you will need an appointment. Call 020 8586 5147/5148 (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm) or click here to find out more.

Shine runs 6 young people's sexual health clinics across Newham offering: Contraception, Condoms, Emergency Contraception, Pregnancy Testing, STI Screening (for people without symptoms) including Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis & HIV testing, C-Card, Abortion Info & Referral and Chlamydia treatment.

If you, or someone you have had sex with, has chlamydia you can attend a Shine drop-in clinic for treatment and testing.

If you have symptoms of a sexually transmitted infection (STI) call us for an appointment at our Symptomatic Clinic on Tuesday afternoons.  You are welcome to attend a Shine drop-in clinic for advice but we may not be able to offer you the treatment and care you need and will refer you to a service that can.

Shine believes young people have the right to:

- access high quality sexual health and reproductive services including a full range of contraceptives

- information and education on sexuality

- pleasure and confidence in relationships and all aspects of their sexuality
